I usually have the financial news networks on in the background as I sit at my desk. Here’s the thing though, I have to have them on MUTE.

Why?

Well, I am only keeping half an eye on the news, markets as I work and I don’t want to be distracted. However, I like to see what’s going on in the world but I don’t want to hear all the prattling punditry.

It drives me nuts with the talking out of both sides of their mouths to tap into some cognitive bias that most traders have.
